James Edward Brown, age 85, husband of Mary (Lane) Brown, of Harrodsburg died Monday, September 23, 2024 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville KY. Born December 27, 1938 in Louisville, KY to the late Samuel D. and Frances (Osbourne) Brown. He was a retired Forman for Square D Manufacturing. James was a National Guard Veteran, a member of The Carpenters Christian Church and a member of the 101 Club. He is survived by his wife: Mary (Lane) Brown; two sons: Greg (Traci) Brown and Todd Brown, both of Harrodsburg, KY; one sister: Phoebe Brown of Harrodsburg, KY and a brother: Russell (Helen) Brown of FL; two grandchildren; Curry (Lexi) Brown and Courtney Brown of Harrodsburg; one great-grandchild: Auggie Brown; one Brother In Law, Carlos (Melanie) Lane of Harrodsburg, KY; five Sister In Law’s: Ruth Brown of Stanford, KY, Roxie Huffman, Jeannetta (Shelby) Tyler, Wanda Robinson and Jeanne (Roy) Bugg all of Harrodsburg, KY. He is preceded in death by his Brothers, Grover and Samuel Brown, and Sister, Patricia Brown Key. A Memorial Service will be held 11am on Friday, September 27 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 354 E. Lexington St. Harrodsburg, KY 40330 with Greg Warren & John Kesel officiating.
