Obituary of Leylan Isiah Jones

Leylan Isiah Jones, age 19, of Hustonville died Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at home. Leylan was born April 6, 2005 in Danville, KY, to Walter Thomas Jones Jr., and Heather "Alyce" (Horsley) Monroe, and raised by Caren Simpson. He had worked for C & R Asphalt in Lexington KY. He enjoyed kayaking, gaming and most of all spending time with family, especially his sisters. He is survived by: his father, Walter “Thomas” Jones Jr. of Harrodsburg KY; his mother, Heather "Alyce" (Horsley) Monroe of London KY; three sisters, Makenzie Jones of Hustonville, KY, Mia Monroe and Peyton McAnich of Harrodsburg, KY; two brothers, Sawyer Jacobi of Harrodsburg, KY, and Lee (Bubby) Simpson, Hustonville; grandfather, Walter Thomas "Tommy" Jones of Harrodsburg, KY; grandmother, Debbie Horsley of Harrodsburg, KY; three aunt’s, Rebekah (Vaughn) Jones, Ashton Carrillo, Chasity Jones; two uncle’s, Clinton (Susan) Voris and Aaron Voris; one great uncle, Buddy Whalen III; three great aunt’s, Caren Simpson, Carolyn Burton and Toni Trisler; several cousins. He is preceded in death by his Grandmother, Connie Ann Peavler, and Grandfather, Kevin Horsley. The funeral will be held 1pm on Monday, September 30, 2024 at First Christian Church, 555 E Lexington Ave, Danville, KY 40422 with Don Burton officiating. Visitation will be Monday, September 30 from 11am-1pm at First Christian Church.
