Roy Lee Sallee, age 101, of Harrodsburg, KY, widower of Eileen Ethington Sallee, died Monday, September 30, 2024, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY. Roy was born January 29, 1923 in Harrodsburg, KY to the late Steve and Mamie (Noel) Sallee. Roy was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired Electrical Engineer for American Electric Power, and had previously worked for Kentucky Power. He was also a longtime member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church. Survivors include: a daughter, Donna (Bill) Weller of Columbus, MS; a sister, Lucille Banks of Akron, OH; three grandchildren, Dwight Weller, Kim Weller, and Chris Sallee; three great grandchildren, Ethan, Logan, & Alaina Weller. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Monday, October 7, 2024, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington St., Harrodsburg, KY, by Jonathan Johnston. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Versailles Road, Lexington, KY. Visitation will be Monday, October 7th from 11AM until 1PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Harrodsburg Baptist Foundation, 312 South Main Street, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
