Pamela Jo Carrender Parkin, 60, of Hernando, Florida passed away peacefully on October 8th, 2024 at her home.

Pamela was born in Somerset, Kentucky on May 1st, 1964, the daughter of the late Bill Carrender and Hazel Sexton. She was a graduate of Harrodsburg High School. Pam then became a homemaker, where she found infinite love in raising her three boys. She spent several years working for the city of Danville where her welcoming generosity gained her lifelong friends. Most of her career was spent in the service/sales industry serving others, which she loved. Pam was a beautiful lady inside and out, with a large caring, loving heart and an infectious laugh and smile. She was fun and full of life, giving everyone a run for their money when it came to Rook, Phase Ten or Spoons. She had an incredible passion for her grandchildren; whether it was attending sporting events, sharing stories, or simply spending time together, her happiest moments were spent with them. She loved her family more than anything in the world! Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Pam is survived by her two sons, Matthew (Lori) Horn, Lucas Horn; partner, Mike Parkin; step children, Michelle(Justin) Griffis, Micheal Parkin; Grandchildren, Amara, Samuel, Jacob, Joe, Luka Horn, Maddox and Kingston Griffis; brothers, Jerry (Joni) Carrender, Barry (Kathy) Carrender; sister, Carol (Lloyd) Hutto and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Pam was preceded in death by her son, Jonathon Horn; sister, Mary Ann Carrender; parents, Bill and Mary Sexton Carrender; nephews, Jim Bob Horn, Sean Rainey; niece, Storie Rainy; brothers, Ronnie and Greg Carrender.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM; Saturday 10/19, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 10 am - 12 pm Saturday and lead to the service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
