I met John during my first Terrapin festival when I was a total stranger to everyone. He came into my vending tent and soon we were sitting on the ground smoking the peace pipe and spittin’ rhymes. He never cared that I was more than double his age. He and I just clicked in that soul family kind of way. We looked for each other at future festivals. He’d give me a bear hug and always lent a hand. When I made my tribal necklaces John was the first person I gave one to. A few months ago he invited me to his place to record something together. I never made it. I thought there would be so much more time get there. You made my life better by getting to know you. Thank you. I will remember you fondly for all of time.

Q: What will you never forget about John?
A: I will never forget and always carry with me the memories of hanging out at the shop or going over and having John cook. I happy we got to spend 10 days away from everything traveling Romania. I will miss his laugh and goofy side but also his sweet and caring side. My brother may be gone but I will always have him with me until we meet again

Tyvic my babe, you have been a part of this family since you were 8 years old, I have and always will love you like one of my own. You have always held a special place in my heart from the first day we met. The world has lost an angel among men. You have been the shining light for so many people, every life you touched was truly enlightened by you.
Momma & Carl Bush.

John, I’ve been struggling all day to come to grips with this and find something meaningful to say. coming up short bc this grief can’t be put into words. Hadley, to know you was to love you my brother. I will never forget our roomie days in the Broadway house - for better or worse I look back on that time so fondly. And I hate that we mostly stayed in touch through the damn internet ever since - but I always always always wanted to come see you homie, just to hang and catch up or come get some ink. You were so incredibly talented dude. And so kind and generous and deep hearted. Ever since we first met back around HS and you’d drop by and come to my porch in bare ass feet every time. You were a total flower child while simultaneously being the hardest mf id ever met in real life. Such an insane musician dude. And man you came thru for me so many times and did mechanic work on my shitty Pontiac for YEARS and I hope you knew how much I always appreciated that and I remembered it all the time. I also think you single-handedly cured all of Facebook’s body dysmorphia anytime you posted about big being beautiful - it really always warmed my heart to see that and im sure im not alone. Everyone is just devastated bro and you were so so so loved ❤️ you’ll be deeply missed. Love, Tevie
