Margaret Nunley, age 86, of Lexington died Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Saint Joseph Hospital of Lexington, KY. Born March 8, 1938 in Perryville, KY, to the late Jess and Virgie (Milburn) Frye. Margaret was a member of Northeast Christian Church and was retired waitress for Rogers Restaurant. Traveling to Florida was a big part Margaret’s life; she was always talking about it when she wasn’t there. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and here recently word search puzzles. She is survived by two daughters: Patricia Mattingly and Debbie Davila of Lexington , KY; one sister: Betty A. Frye of Harrodsburg, KY and two brothers: William (Peggy) Frye of Lexington, KY, Larry K. Frye of Harrodsburg, KY. Two grandchildren; Brandon Wayne Mattingly and Tasha Galindo; six great grandchildren, Brandon Lee Mattingly, Olivia Hunter, Cynthia Allen, Jess Tamayo, Brian Gonzalas and Dylan Galindo; three great great Grandchildren, Lilly Allen, Zoe Allen and Jude Allen. She was preceded in death by her Sister, Elizabeth Springfield, Brother, Ardell Hays, Brother, Jimmy Frye and Brother, Do Frye. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Ransdell Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements and expressions of sympathy may be sent to Margaret’s family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com. The family wanted to make sure to acknowledge Saint Joseph Hospital staff for the professional and upmost respect they showed them during this difficult time. They felt the sympathy and care that was given to them, and wanted to make sure they knew how appreciated it was.
