Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy" McCoy

Margaret Elizabeth “Peggy” McCoy Margaret Elizabeth “Peggy” McCoy, age 78, 317 Elmwood Dr., Harrodsburg, widow of Jerry McCoy, died Monday, May 2, 2005 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. Born August 20, 1926 in Mercer County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Andie Floyd and Nannie (Johnson) Taylor. She was a retired nurse. Peggy was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church where she was a member of the Quilters. She was also a member of the Rook Club and an avid Rose Gardener. Survivors include: a son: Jerry (Cleisa) McCoy of Harrodsburg, KY;five grandchildren, Janey McCoy, Josh McCoy, Sheila McCoy, Jennifer Martin, Christy McGuinn and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 4 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Don Chase and Cleo Goodlett. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: David Leo, Dennis Sallee, Tim McCoy, Mike McCoy, William Taylor, Larry Taylor, Honorary Bearers will be: Eddie Sanford, Howard Fallis, William Currens, Doug Taylor and The Elders Of The Harrodsburg Christian Church, Visitation will be Tuesday, May 3 after 5:00 PM and Wednesday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
