Ruth Garriott Bunton, 100, died Friday, December 6, 2024, at her home. Born February 14, 1924, in Mercer Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Jack C. and Mary Willie (Coleman) Garriott. Ruth was a loving wife and mother, a devout Christian, and cherished friend to all who knew her.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Paul R. Bunton, and her first child Paula G. Bunton, four siblings, Trudy and Adele Ransdell, Jack Garriott, and Jane Stevens. She is survived by her son John, his daughter Anna, and her partner Dave. Sister-in-law Helen Bunton, and Madison Stewart are a special part of her family. Melissa, Mallory, Megan, and Kelly-Beth were valued and loved caregivers as well. Ruth was the last of her Garriott family. She leaves many nieces and nephews and their families

with a legacy of love.

Services will be held at 11:30am, Saturday, December 14, 2024, in the Chapel of Immanuel Baptist Church by Bill Ellis. Burial will be at Kirkwood Cemetery in Mercer County at 2 PM, Saturday.

Pallbearers are Jim and Cole Stevens, Vic Smith, Todd Allen, Bruce Pritchett, and Dave Harlan.
