Obituary of Mavalyn Irene Horn Hungate

Mavalyn Irene Horn Hungate, 60, Harrodsburg, KY, wife of Wayne Hungate, died Sunday, December 8, 2024, at her home. Born March 4, 1964, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Colleen (Royalty) Horn. She was employed at Florida Tile for several years and was the apartment manager for Winterwood Property Management. She was a member of the Eller’s Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to her husband, Wayne; include; Step Children: Amber Hungate, Ashley (Joel) Warner, Alexis (Seth) Voris, Adam “Cody” (Paige) Hungate and Austin “Ty” Hungate; Twelve Grandchildren including Aaliyah Faith Hungate, whom she raised in her home, Eathan, Reagan, Evan, Zoey, Aubrey, Kylie, Gavin, Madelyn, Ayden, Gracie & Annie; Cousins, Madison Robinson, Angela (Darrell) Robinson, Sherry Royalty, Tammy Sallee, Denise Cornish, Larry Henderson and Ricky Henderson. Funeral services will be Friday, December 13; 2:00 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, conducted by Derek Baker. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 11 am - 2 pm Friday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers will be: Joel Warner, Seth Voris, Cody Hungate, Gavin Devine, Eathan Baker and Evan Baker. Honorary bearers will be: Jeff Gray, Darrell Robinson and William Hungate.
