Jack Ebert Knose, 86, Harrodsburg, KY, formerly of Ross OH died Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital in Harrodsburg.
He was born January 6, 1938 in Cincinnati OH to the late James and Pearl (Rinninger) Knose. Jack proudly served in the 82nd Airborne and retired as Maintenance Supervisor from Riverwood International after 30 years. He was also a KY Colonel, a UK Usher, and proud member of the NRA
Jack is survived by his daughter: Julie (Pam) Knose; sister in law: Theresa Graham Lanham; Brother: Jim (Judy) Knose; Sister: Claudette Kirby; Nieces and nephews: Greg Knose, Carol Knose Renner, Deana Kirby, Jessica Lanham and Shawn (Chrissy) Lanham.
Jack was preceded in death earlier this year by his wife of 54 years, Jean Graham Knose. In addition to his parents he lost a nephew; Aaron Kirby and his step mother in law, Sue Graham, who held a special place in his heart.
Jack coached softball for 20 years and took great pride in the achievements of his teams and the players in which he continued to stay in touch with through the decades after they stopped playing the game he so loved to coach. He also loved his three “grandogs”, and he would want you to donate in lieu of flowers, to the Boston Terrier Rescue East Tennessee-Kentucky Division, in his name.
Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at the Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Highway, Ross Ohio.
