Ruth Adeline Denny, age 91, 526 East Main Street, Burgin, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born December 29, 1913 in Burgin, KY, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Myrtle (McCrosky) Trisler. She was the wife of Homer Cecil Denny for 65 yrs. She was a graduate of Burgin High School. She and her husband owned and operated Denny´s Grocery in Burgin from1962-1978. Mrs. Denny also had worked as a clerk at the Harrodsburg Five and Dime for several years and was a kindergarten teacher in Leatherwood, KY for a few years. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include: her husband: Homer Cecil Denny, Burgin; one son, Joe (June) Denny of Lawrenceburg, KY; one brother, Robert (Betty) Trisler of Harrodsburg, KY; two Grandsons, Jason (Debbie) Denny and Gaylon (Melanie) Denny; 4 Great Grandchidren, Clayton, and Haleigh Denny and Derek and Danielle Brown. Funeral services will be held 01:00 PM, Monday, May 20, 2005 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Revs. James Heard, Harold Best & George Dye. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers: Lee Sharp, John David Trisler, Jack Springate, Phillip Trisler, George Buchanan, Larry Trisler. Honorary Bearers: Frank L. Howard, Lloyd Phillips, Wm Ervin Buchanan, Harvey Baker, Horace Sharp, Vernon Record, John Sparks, & Jay Vadelli. Visitation will be Thursday, May 19 after 5:00 PM and May 20 prior to service at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to KY Baptist Children´s Home.
