George E. “Boots” Kays


George E. “Boots” Kays, age 82, 125 Garrard St, Harrodsburg, died Monday, June 13, 2005 at his residence.


Born December 23, 1922 in Washington Co., KY, he was the son of the late G. F. and Elsie Mae (Dennis) Kays. He was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ and was retired from the Dairy Industry, having worked for Armor Company, Cudahy of Harrodsburg and Dairymen Inc..


Survivors include: his wife, Ruby Jaunita (Wilham) Kays, Harrodsburg; one son, Jerry (Judy) Kays, Salvisa, KY; one granddaughter, Amy Kays; one grandson, Jonathan Kays; one great granddaughter, Alisha Abner; one great grandson, Jacob Abner.


Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 16, 2005 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Jason Clark and Larry Koch. Burial will be in the Willisburg Cemetery, Willisburg.


Pallbearers are Jonathan Kays, Jacob Abner, Gerald Lister, Donnie Tyler, Stan Richards, and Ronnie Compton.


Honorary bearers are Bobby & Tommy Hayes, Bill Elliott, and Carroll Sanford.


Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, and Thursday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
