Robert Lee Lowe
Robert Lee Bob Lowe, age 70, husband of Hope Ann Meredith Lowe, died Sunday, July 24, 2005 at the Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY after a long illness.
Born November 20, 1934 in Burgin, KY, he was the son of the late L.L. and Leona (McGee) Lowe. He was raised at Dix Dam on Herrington Lake in Mercer County. He lived most of his adult life in Versailles and Woodford County. Bob retired from Kentucky Utilities Company in 1996 after 39 years. In the early years he worked at Firestone Store in Harrodsburg and Dayton Power and Light, Dayton, OH. He was a member of the Burgin Baptist Church and Landmark Masonic Lodge #41 F & AM and Order of Easter Star 426 in Versailles.
Survivors include: his wife: Hope Ann (Lowe) Lowe, a daughter: Mildred Milly (Greg) Mullins of Lexington, KY and two sons: William L. Lowe of Mansfield, TX, John L. (Cathey) Lowe of Versailles, KY; Granddaughter, Jessica D. Lowe; Grandson, Michael L. Gregory; three Step Grandchildren, Ashley A. Hamlett, Griffin D. Mullins and Mathew M. Mullins; a sister: Gertrude (John) Milton of Harrodsburg, KY. Bob was predeceased by his parents, two brothers; Clifford L. & Warren L. Lowe and a sister; Christine Bowles Baker.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 27 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
Pallbearers are: Larry Lowe, Leland Lowe, V. K. Bowles, Dennis Allen, Alexander Allen, Ed Meader, Bobby H. Smith, Dave Plummer, Gilbert Litterell, Jerry Hoffield, Bill McClellan, Benny Sowder
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 26 from 4-8 PM and prior to the service on Wednesday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Bobs family strongly suggests that memorial contributions may be sent to Lexington Hearing and Speech Center 162 N Ashland Ave, Lexington, KY 40502.
