Evelyn Cole Johnson


Evleyn Cole Johnson, age 90, Talmage Mayo Road, Harrodsburg, widow of Condit B. Johnson, died Thursday, July 28, 2005 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Ctr.


Born October 30, 1914 in Mercer Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late James Irvin and Annie Frances (Black) Cole. She was a machine operator for 31 years at Cricketeer Manufacturing Co., and a member of the Mayo Christian Church.


Survivors include: , two sons: Wendell (Joyce) Johnson of Harrodsburg, KY, William Elton Johnson of Lexington, KY; Four Grandchildren, Richard (Judy) G Johnson, William Elton (Debbie) Johnson II, Wesley Erroll Johnson and Karen Sue (Michael) Goodlett; Seven Great Grandchild, Sessani Goodlett, Lynette McKinney, Hope Ransdell, Leslye Johnson, Trance Finn, Trey Johnson and Trent Johnson; One Great Great Grandchild, Brandtly McKinney.


She was predeceased by a son James Lloyd Johnson, a brother Lafon Cole, and two sisters Blanche Cole Overstreet and Garnie Cole Fields.


Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 30, 2005; 2 pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Matthew Atha, Elwood Norton and Wm Elton Johnson II. Burial will be in the Mayo Christian Cemetery, Harrodsburg.


Pallbearers are: Wes Johnson, William Elton Johnson II, Darren Ransdell, Mike Goodlett, Nick McKinney, Mack Compton.


Honorary Bearers are: Kelly Bugg, Paul Gray, Gayle Johnson, Davis Burrus, Wallace Sheperson, James Kurtz, John Miller, Daniel Coblentz, Boots Miller, Don Stiglich, Billy Brown and her Nieces And Nephews


Visitation will be Friday, July 29 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.


Memorial contributions may be sent to Mayo Christian Church Cemetery Fund.
