William Desha Fister, age 63, 627 Dry Branch Road, Harrodsburg, died Friday, August 5, 2005 at his home. Born November 5, 1941 in Lexington, KY, he was the son of Mary Elizabeth Scanlon Fister of Danville and the late Sylvester Francis Fister. He was a retired Maintenance Coordinator for Lexmark and a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church, where he also served as Maintenance Coordinator. Mr. Fister proudly served in the U. S. Marine Corp. Reserve. Other survivors include: his wife: Shirley Jane (Hall) Fister, two daughters: Katherine E. Bethel and Karen (Mike) Miller both of Lexington, KY; three sons, William Desha (Stephanie) Fister, Jr. of Lexington, Joseph William (Jennifer) Fister and Sean B. (Michelle) Pigman both of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Libby (Robert) Duffy of Paris, KY, Judy (David) Nehls of Carlisle, KY; 10 grandchildren, Hanna and Will Fister, Troy and Trey Miller, Curtis and Kara Bethel, Gunnar and Garnett Fister, and Rett and Erin Pigman. He was predeceased by a brother Sylvester “Buddy” Fister, Jr. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Mon. at the St. Andrew Catholic Church by Father Joseph Muench. His Children will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday, August 7 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. and Monday 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at th Church. Ransdell Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements. The family strongly suggest that memorial contributions be sent to St. Andrew Church Building Fund or Heritage Hospice, P.O. Box 1213, Danville, KY 40422.
