David Lance Lawson David Lance “Davey” Lawson, age 50, 1249 Mackville Road, Harrodsburg, husband of Lucy Marie Murphy Lawson, died Saturday, August 6, 2005 at the Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, KY. Born June 1, 1955 in Mercer County, KY, he was the son of Myron L. and the late Celestial Ruby (Pankey) Lawson. He was a member of the Deep Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include: His father: Myron L. Lawson of Harrodsburg, KY, his wife: Lucy Marie (Murphy) Lawson, a daughter: Jessica Nicole Lawson and a son: David Lance Lawson Jr., both of Danville, KY; two sisters: Peggy Reynolds of Washington County, KY, Betty Sims of Mercer County, KY; and three brothers: Donnie Lawson, Danny Lawson and Tony Lawson all of Mercer County, KY. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 10 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Burial will be in the Deep Creek Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Mike Humphrey, John Humphrey, Keith Humphrey, Daniel Humphrey, Jody Humphrey, Rick Helton. Honorary Bearers are: Art Baker, Marty Lawson, Gary Popplewell, Loren Arth. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9 after 5:00 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY and prior to the service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society or Hospice.
