Obituary of Joyce R. Yates

Joyce R. Yates Joyce R. Yates, age 70, Moore´s Lane, Harrodsburg, widow of Bennie Lee Yates, died Sunday, August 7, 2005 at her residence. Born January 3, 1935 in Mercer County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Gertrude (Bryant) Royalty. She was a retired inspector from the Mercer Dress Corporation and a charter member of the Southside Christian Church. Survivors include: a daughter: Ann Robin (Bobby) Riley of Mercer County, KY and a son: Gary M. (Heidi) Yates of Harrodsburg, KY; two sisters: Juanita Cannon of Danville, KY and Jane Kimsey of Louisville, KY; two brothers: Donald Royalty of Lexington, IN and Danny Royalty of Hanover, IN; four Grandchildren, Amanda Yates, Michael Yates, Leah Riley and Matthew Riley. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 10 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bob Nelson and Gary Powell. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Bill Royalty, Jackie Royalty, Paul Machel, Ronnie Sims, Gary Noel and Tom Moore. Honorary Bearers are to be Amanda and Michael Yates and Leah and Matthew Riley Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9, after 5:00 PM and Wednesday prior to service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to American Heart Association or the Southside Christian Church Benevolance Fund.
