James Edward Martin, age 87, Harrodsburg, widower of Virginia Jane Hardy Martin, died Friday, September 23, 2005 at the Danville Ctr. For Health, Danville, KY.
Born July 1, 1918 in Chattanooga, TN, he was the son of the late James and Sadie Martin. He served during World War II in the Army. He was a horse trainer and ran his own stable.
Survivors include: , one daughter: Mary Jane (Jeff) Bugg of Harrodsburg, KY and one son: Neil Edward Martin of Finchville, KY, five grandchildren; Chad Martin, Kevin Martin, Josh Martin, Lee Bugg and John Bugg. He was predeceased by a son; James Donald Alabama Martin.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 28 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by David Culp.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 28 from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
