Eugene Gammon Jr., age 82, Harrodsburg, widower of Quanita Faye Drury Gammon, died Saturday, October 1, 2005 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY.
Born June 22, 1923 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late Eugene and Willa Mae (Royalty) Gammon, Sr.. He served during World War II in the Army. He was a retired carpenter for Burchfield and Thomas. Eugene was a member of the Salvisa Baptist Church, American Legion V.F.W. and the Salvisa Masonic Lodge 125 F & AM.
Survivors include: a daughter: Pam Votaw of Lawrenceburg, KY and a son: Lynn (Carolyn) Gammon of Harrodsburg, KY; a sister: Patsy Baylor of Lima, OH; ; Six (6) Grandchildren, ; Four (4)Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Oct 4,11 am at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Gary Allen. Burial will be in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Chris Gammon, Michael Gammon, James Michael Yates, Derek Votaw, Patrick Votaw and Douglas Brown. Honorary Bearers are: Bill Otis, Bruce Goodlett, Jennings Brooking and Ronnie Britton, ,
Visitation will be Monday, October 3 after 5:00 PM and Tuesday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
