Obituary of Grace Margaret Champion

Grace Margaret Champion Grace Margaret Champion, age 94, Salvisa, died Friday, November 18, 2005 at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, KY. Born May 22, 1911 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Marion Frank and Stella Jane (Currens) James, and the widow of James Bruce Champion. She was a School Teacher at Salvisa and Mercer County for 32 years and a member of the Salvisa Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School teacher and 4-H Leader for many years, former member of the Mercer County Homemakers, Mercer Retired Teacher Association and has served as President of the Resident Council at Lexington County Place. Survivors include: two daughters: Jeanette C. Cole of Lawrenceburg, KY, Jane C. Norman of Louisville, KY; Neice, Mary Elizabeth James; nephew, Robert Franklin James, Sisters-in-law, Betty And Edith James; 9 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and 2 predeceased great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by three brothers: Marion, Harold and Robert James. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Jason Clark. Burial will be in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery, Lawrenceburg. Pallbearers are: Great Grandsons Visitation will be Sunday, November 20 after 5:00 PM. and Monday prior to Service at Funeral Chapel Memorial contributions may be sent to Salvisa Baptist Church Bldg.
