Obituary of Edwin "Eddie" Drury

Edwin Drury, age 78, 630 Elizabeth Ct., Harrodsburg, died Thursday, December 22, 2005 at his home. Born January 18, 1927 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late Thomas Edgar and Victoria (Dennis) Drury and the widower of Violet Wilham Drury. He served during Korean war in the Army. Eddie was involved in the Hardware business for fifty plus years; having owned and operated the Meade Hardware Store for many years. He was a long time member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, and also a member of the Mercer Lodge # 777 F&AM, the Oleika Shrine Temple, the American Legion and VFW. Survivors include: a son Brent and Laura Drury, one sister: Oatney Wells of Lawrenceburg, KY; three Grandsons, Tom, Nick And Will Drury. He was predeceased by three sisters: Venie and Nannie Yeager, and Lillis Wells; two brothers: Homer and Marvin Drury. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, 12/26/2005, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dr. Robert DeFoor. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with military rites. Pallbearers are: Bob Baker, Larry Yeager, Carlos Lester, John David Sanders, Mike Brown, Charles Walker Sims, Bill Freeman, and Bobby Wilham. Visitation will be Sunday, December 25, 4-7 PM. and Monday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
