MYLDRED CAMIC SIMS
Myldred C. Sims, age 79, Bacon Court, Harrodsburg, widow of Buster Sims, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2005 at her home after a lengthy illness. Born August 13, 1926 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Fleetie Kays Camic.
She was a 1944 graduate of Fairview High School in Mercer County, a former employee at Sportleigh Hall, the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital, and the former Dr. Ballards Medical Office. She was a retired employee for the City of Harrodsburg as the water department head clerk. She was a former member of the Eastern Star, formerly co-owned the Glave Sims Funeral Home, and was part owner of the Parks Funeral Home, and Sims Auction and Realty Company. She was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons: Roger and his wife Cassie Sims and Genie and his wife Toni Sims, both of Harrodsburg; five grandchildren, Chris (Christy) Clark, Mitchellsburg, Jennifer Sims, Harrodsburg, Brock (Sara) Sims, Harrodsburg, Lindsy Sims, Fort Mitchell, and Colton Sims, Harrodsburg; one brother, Roy (Frances) Camic, Danville; two sisters, Julia C. Graham and Marie (Horace) Ellis, both of Harrodsburg; two brothers-in-law, Edgar Sims, Batavia, Ohio and Gayle (Alberta) Sims, Lexington; one sister-in-law, Margaret Camic, Lexington; two faithful caregivers, Helena Davis and Judy Derringer, both of Harrodsburg and several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Morris, Eugene, and J.T. Camic.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the Harrodsburg Baptist Church by Dr. Robert DeFoor and Kenny Stephens. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel and from 10:00 am until the hour of service at the church.
Pallbearers are: Tony Goins, Bruce Goodlett, Douglas Brown, Charles Parks, Sr., William Parks, Sr., John Markel, Dr. H.M. Snodgrass and Alvis Johnson. Honorary bearers are: Donna Gash, Helen Dismukes, Elizabeth Wilson, Ellie VanDiver, Dorothy Scrogham, Sandy Murphy, Geraldine Brown, and Lou Ann Ison.
The family respectfully requests no floral tributes or gifts of benevolence; however memorial donations are kindly suggested to the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital, 464 Linden Avenue, Harrodsburg, KY 40330 or to Heritage Hospice, Inc., 337 West Broadway, Danville, KY 40422.

4 to 8 pm Tuesday - Chapel and after 10 am Wed. - Church
