Willie Esker Tatum, age 89, 115 Peach Blossom Lane, Bowling Green, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Sunday, February 12, 2006 at his home in Bowling Green, KY. He was the husband of Louise Pendegrist Tatum. Born February 19, 1916 in Washington Co, KY, he was the son of the late Ezra and Lillie (Click) Tatum. He was a retired Banker and County Treasurer. Willie was a member of the Deep Creek Baptist Church, former member of the Kiwanis and was very active in the Mercer County Fair & Horse Show. Survivors include: his wife: Louise (Pendegrist) Tatum, three sisters: Lillie J. Camden of Lexington, KY, Jewell Best of Mercer County, KY, Beatrice Russell of Bardstown, KY; and one brother: Ezra Tatum Jr. of Mercer County, KY; eight Grandchildren, Mary Tatum Reed; Elizabeth Tatum Schamp; Deidra Tatum Hill; Spencer Craig Tatum; Vincent Seawood Tatum; Stanley Martin Tatum; Virginia Tatum Donis; Marc Tatum and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons and a sister: William Bruce and Norman Dale Tatum and Dorothy Noel. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 16 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Don Blackmore and Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Stephen Reed, Kirk Schamp, Travis Hill, Spencer Tatum, Vincent Tatum, Stanley Tatum. Honorary Bearers are: Tatum Reed, Olivia Reed, and Julia Reed. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 15 from 3-7 pm and Thursday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to your Favorite Charioty.
