Garnett “Wayne” Whittaker, age 63, Cornishville Road, Harrodsburg, husband of Lola Helen Johnson Whittaker, died Sunday, February 19, 2006 at his home in Harrodsburg, KY. Born July 10, 1942 in Mercer County, KY, he was the son of the late Garnett and Mary Frances (Gayheart) Whittaker. He was the owner/operator of Waynes´ Trucking. Survivors include: his wife: Lola Helen (Johnson) Whittaker, one daughter: Anita (James) Hubbard of Boyle County, KY and two sons: Jesse (Daphne) Whittaker of Versailles, KY, Billy (Lois) Whittaker of Harrodsburg, KY; four sisters: Wanda (Steve) Crane, Etta (Fred) Bugg, Shirley (Billy) Taylor all of Mercer County, Gayle (J.W.) Fister of Lexington, KY; and one brother: Dan (Kathy) Whittaker of Harrodsburg, KY; Step Sons, Jeff & Joe Lanham of Harrodsburg, KY; Step Grandchildren, 9 ; Step Great Grandchildren, 3 ; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. Predeceased by two brothers; John & Jackie Whittaker and a step son; James Lanham. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 22 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. James Harley. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: David Vineyard, James Keller, Butch Wine, Tim Darland, Randy Coleman, Ronnie Sims and Mike Tarter. Honorary Bearers are: Sac Hume, Eddie Goodlett, Lee Howard Releford, Devon Coleman, Rick Burns and Harold Goodlett Visitation will be Tuesday, February 21 after 5:00 PM and Wednesday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to Heritage Hospice, P.O. Box 1213, Danville, KY 40422.
