Lewis Denver Wilson, age 78, 766 Beaumont Ave., Harrodsburg, died Friday, February 17, 2006 at Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born March 14, 1927 in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Paul Gordon and Ruth (Broaddus) Wilson. He was the widower of Irene Dean Wilson. He served during World War II in the U. S. Navy. He was retired Executive Vice President of Broaddus inc. and a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church. He also served on the Board of the Harrodsburg Housing Authority, was a former member of the Harrodsburg Board of Education, was former Chairman of the Mercer County Republican Party, Past Director of the Mercer Federal Savings and Loan and was past President of the Harrodsburg Lions Club. Survivors include: one son: Paul Gordon (Susan) Wilson of Burns, TN; one sister: Mary Frances Eads of Garrard County, KY; and several Nieces And Nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday (2/20/2006), at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Don Chase. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, with Military Rites. Pallbearers are: Kevin Wilson, Gavin Wilson, James Eads, Glenn Dean, Greg Long, Barry Kessler Honorary Bearers: Dr. Ernest Estridge, Dr. Charles Hatcher, Joe Dean, Vilas Graham, Bill Lester, Harold Lester, Leon Keeling, Frank Lawson, Danny Chilton, Delbert Ball, Hubert “Buddy” Ford. Visitation will be Sunday, (February 19), 2 - 6 pm. and Monday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel Memorial contributions may be sent to Harrodsburg Christian Church, 305 South Main Street, Harrodsburg, KY 40330
