Obituary of Mary Neil White

Mary Neil White, 81, died Friday, March 3rd at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center in Harrodsburg Ky. Born June 17, 1924 in Davie County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Edna Earle Kurfees and Grandy Nash Ward. Formerly a resident of Charlotte, North Carolina. Mrs. White was a graduate of Greensboro College and Juilliard School of Music. She was also a member of the Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum and Providence Road Church of Christ in Charlotte. Survivors include a daughter, Kris Preston and her husband Winston; two grandsons, Jordan and Nash Preston all of Salvisa, KY; two sons, David White, Seattle, WA and Scott White, Albuquerque, NM and a brother, Jack Ward of Durham, NC. Funeral will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home in Mocksville, NC on Tuesday, March 7. Visitation will be from 10 am until the service time of 2 pm. Burial will follow at the Jericho Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
