Thomas Charles Houp, age 69, Cornishville St., Harrodsburg, died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at his home, Harrodsburg, KY. Born January 17, 1937 in Heidelburg, KY, he was the son of the late Henry and Mary (Estes) Houp. He served during Vietnam war in the Navy on the USS Saratoga.. He was a retired Butcher and Chef and an avid fisherman. Survivors include: his wife: Doris Lee (Miley) Houp, three daughters: Laura Houp Cooper of Harrodsburg, KY, Melanie Toller, and Julie Hockersmith both of Salvisa, KY; and one son: Terry French of Augusta, KY; two sisters: Martha Woosley of Lexington, KY, Effie Stinnett of Nicholasville, KY and three brothers: Hobert Houp, and Virgil Houp both of Nicholasville, KY, Earl Houp of Lexington, KY; Grandchildren, Six (6) ; Great Grandchidren, Five (5) . He was predeceased by a son: Blake Houp, two brothers: Homer and Vernan Houp and two sisters: Maude Corman and Geneva Tewmley. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, 3/14/2006, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. Johnny Hockersmith III. Burial will be in the Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Rick Toller, Paul W. Smith, Aaron Houp, R. J. Corman, Tom Cooper, Freddie Woosley, Kelly Toller, Lacey Johnson. Honorary Bearers: Kelly Toller, Lacey Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Kacey French, J. W. Shephard, and Ariel Houp. Visitation will be Monday, March 13 after 5:00 PM. and Tuesday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to Heritage Hospice, P.O. Box 1213, Danville, KY 40422
