Retta Mae Gritton, age 95, 453 West Office Street, Harrodsburg, died Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.

Born March 6, 1911 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late A.D. and Dora (Coovert) Springate. She was the widow of Howard Gritton. She was a retired Practical Nurse and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. Mrs. Gritton loved to fish.

Survivors include: one daughter: Georgia Deshazer of Harrodsburg. Grandchildren, David, John and Rita and five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by three sisters: Margaret Yocum, Katherine and Roina Springate, five brothers: Bob, Charlie, El, Clark and Hugh Springate.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, April 3, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by James Harley and Roc Moore. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 2 4 - 7. and Monday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel
