Obituary of Lois “Baldy” Dean

Lois Francis “Baldy” Dean, age 72, Harrodsburg, widower of Ruby Baker Campbell Dean, died Monday, June 19, 2006 at his home in Harrodsburg, KY. Born December 1, 1933 in Salvisa, KY, he was the son of the late Granville Elmore and Gladys Earl (Crossfield) Dean. He served in the U. S. Army and was a retired millwright for Ducan Machinery, Lexington, KY and a member of the Ebenezer Church of Christ. Survivors include: six sisters, Doris Reece, Janice ( I. C. ) Phillips and Maxine (Billy) Taylor of Harrodsburg, KY, Rita (Richard) Carrato of Alaclua, FL, Bruce Lee Dunn of Lexington, KY, Joyce Sturgeon of Louisville, KY; and one brother, Robert (Easter) Dean of Lakewood, CA; Step-Daughter, Ann C. Robinson of Danville, KY; Step Son, Terry Campbell of Harrodsburg, KY; Seven Grandchildren, Seven Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters: Garnett and Harold Dean, Imogene Crawford, Ina Cornish, Arlene Walkup and Donnis Dean. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 21 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John David Lane. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa. Pallbearers are Jimmy Dean, Larry Purvis, Larry Phillips, Bentley Lane, Tim Lake, Keith Robinson, Marty Robinson, Greg Conley. Honorary bearers are Stacy Lake, Tim Robinson, Terry Campbell Jr., Shane Campbell, & Lori Egbert. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 20 from 6-9 PM and Wednesday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to Ebenezer Cemetery Fund, Cummins Ferry Rd. Salvisa, KY 40372.
