Ellen C. Hurt, age 93, 388 Handy Road, Harrodsburg, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Harrodsburg Health Care Ctr., Harrodsburg, KY.

Born May 9, 1913 in Kirkwood, KY, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo Clay and Cora (Lloyd) Cunningham and the widow of Joe Hurt. She was a partner in C & T Market for many years and through the years was very active in the Salvisa Christian Church and the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church as well as the Mercer Farm Bureau and the DAR. Survivors include: one brother: A.C. Cunningham of Lawrenceburg, KY; 2 Step Sons: Jim Hurt of Champaign, IL; and David Hurt of Berea, KY; a Step Daughter, Ann Fraley of Paducah, KY; six nieces and nephews: Zenah Teater, Harrodsburg; Jane Bruno, Denver, CO; Zelma Ritter, and Joyce Gritton, Lawrenceburg; Roy and Carroll Cunningham, Shelbyville. Ellen was predeceased by a sister: Frances Teater and a step son: Joe G. Hurt.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, 7/22/2006, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Ken Klemme, with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

Pallbearers are: Zenah Teater, Roy Cunningham, Carroll Cunningham, Josh Teater, Jackie Gritton, Bobby Ritter.

Visitation will be Friday, July 21 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. and Saturday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel
