Rosa Lee Butler Obituary
Rosa Lee Butler, age 89, Pleasureville, KY. Formerly of Harrodsburg, widow of John R Butler, died Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at the Jewish Hospital Shelbyville.
Born March 10, 1917 in Washington County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Omer and Offie (Taylor) Bottoms. She operated the Mercer County Roller Rink from 1955 until it closed in the late 1980s. Rosa Lee was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters: Joyce Ann Brown of Salvisa, KY and Rosemary Spurlock of Shelbyville, KY; and one son: Charles Richard Dick Butler of Harrodsburg, KY; 11 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren and 27 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Friday, August 18 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Don Waterfill and James Harley and burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Scott Nation, Tyler Nation, Jason Phillips, Charlie Stinnett Jr, Michael Brown and Justin Brown.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 17 after 5:00 PM and prior to Service Friday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
