Samuel Harlow, age 88, 348 Calvary Ln., Harrodsburg, died Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born December 22, 1917 in Salvisa, KY, he was the son of the late Elmer and Hattie (Watts) Harlow. He was a former employee of Corning Glass where he served as union stewart for the United Glasss Workers, he was also a Mechanic and worked a the Kentucky State Hospital for several years. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife: Stella Mae (Simpson) Harlow, two daughters: Margaret Joyce Thompson of Harrodsburg, KY, Barbara Ann (James) Hammond of Lawrenceburg, KY; and one son: Kenneth (Bernadette) Harlow of Danville, KY; one brother: James Elmer Harlow of Soddy Daisy, TN; Step Son, Jack E. Benge of Spartanburg; Step Daughter, Brenda Jo (George) Bruner of Spartanburg, SC; Grandchildren: Eleven, Step Grandchildren: Four, Great Grandchidren: Thirty Two, Step Great Grandchildren: Four, Great Great Grandchildren: Three . Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, 8/30/2006, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Paul Readnour and Danny Broce. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Chris Thompson, Bill Thompson, Adam Thompson, Spencer Gray, Stephen Bruner, and Roy Lee Cox. Honorary bearers: Miller Horn, Don Horn, Willie B. Horn, Nelson Cline, Bobby Richmond, Troy Frances, Jeff Rogers, and Donald Ray Baker. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 29 after 5:00 PM. and Wednesday prior to Service at Funeral Chapel Memorial contributions may be sent to Christian Life Center Main Street Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
