Onita Carey Obituary

Onita Carey, 80, of Lexington, died Friday, September 15, 2006 at her home.


Born May 14, 1926 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Edward Vaulter and Willie Durr Graham. She was the widow of Morris Andrew Carey.


She was a homemaker and a member of the Parkway Baptist Church.


Survivors include: two daughters, Rosa C. Hicks, and Jenny Cay Carey, both of Lexington; two sisters: Virginia G. Carey, Harrodsburg, Joyce G. Humkey of Columbia, two granddaughters, Melanie Rosa Hicks; and Shannon Jo Mink, and one great-grandchild, Lily Carey Hicks.


Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, September 18, at Spring Hill Cemetery by Rev. James Harley.


Visitation will be Monday, September 18, after 10:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel.


Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
