William Thomas Adkinson, age 76, Harrodsburg, husband of Margaret Murphy Adkinson, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, KY.
Born September 9, 1930 in Washington County, he was the son of Ellen Faye (Royalty) Adkinson and the late Hobert Adkinson. He served his country in both the Army and Marine Corps. He was a retired quality control engineer at IBM Inc. He was a member of Bruners Chapel Baptist Church, the American Legion and the V.F.W..
Survivors include: his wife: Margaret (Murphy) Adkinson, his mother: Ellen Faye (Royalty) Adkinson, two daughters: Rita (Larry) Inman and Sherri (Rex) Kidd both of Harrodsburg, KY and one son: Gary Thomas (Robbie) Adkinson of Harrodsburg, KY; two sisters: Helen McRay of Lake City, FL, Diana (Jimmy) Norvell of Harrodsburg, KY; and one brother: Waldon Red (Ina) Adkinson of Harrodsburg, KY; Five Grandchildren, ; Two Step Grandchildren ; Three Great Grandchildren; Three Step Great Grandchildren .
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Friday, December 29 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Don Reid and David Crowe. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 28 from after 5:00 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Memorial contributions may be sent to The Christian Life Center or the American Diabetes Association.
