Bennie Lee Hume, age 73, Cornishville St, Harrodsburg, widower of Gleda Laverne Shewmaker Hume, died Friday, January 5, 2007 at his home in Harrodsburg, KY.
Born July 5, 1933 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late Bennie and Hannah Lydia (Sander) Hume. He was a truck driver and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include: five sons: Ronnie Lee (Wanda) Hume, Gary Gene (Patricia) Hume, Larry Dale (Jennifer) Hume, Michael (Jenny) Hume and Bennie C. SAC Hume all of Harrodsburg, KY; one sister: Alma (Bobby) Wilham and a brother: James A. (Norma) Hume both of Harrodsburg, KY; Twelve Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Katherine Bowman.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Monday, January 8 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. James Harley with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Lane Hume, Robert Phillips, Michael Hume Jr., Leroy Bowman, Marvin Bowman Jr. and Ray Thomas Hume. Honorary Bearers are: Harold Goodlett, James Raley, Marshall Phillips, Jimmy Taylor, Bob Baker and David Goodlett
Visitation will be Sunday, January 7 from 5-8 PM and Monday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
