William Harley Moore, age 75, Harrodsburg, husband of Marcella Coe Moore, died Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born February 9, 1931 in Holly Hill, KY, he was the son of the late Cardine and Rose Etta (Gilreath) Moore. He served in the Navy during Korean War. He worked many jobs, among them are a machinist, draftsman, Roadway dispatcher, insurance salesman, builder, farmer, cabinet maker and a carpenter at Shakertown. He was a member of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ and a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors in addition to his wife are two daughters: Barbara Moore (Chuck) Barnett of Louisville, KY and Mary Moore (Mike) Mirre of Lexington, KY; one son: Daniel (Pat) Moore of Harrodsburg, KY; four sisters: Anna Ball of Lebanon, OH, Lorraine Messer of Sevierville, TN, Pauline Handy of Lexington, KY and Maxine McCann of Middlesboro, KY; ; Seven Grandchildren, Melissa (Jeremy) Pritchett, Jeff Barnett, Chris Barnett, Michael Vah, Mollie Mirre, Marlee Mirre and Mackenzie Mirre. Harley was preceded in death by three sisters; Wilma Ballard, Shirley Moore and Alice Bell, three brothers; Roger Moore, Dester Moore and Chester Moore. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 20 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Mike Estes with burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be Friday, January 19 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children´s Hospital.
