Jimmy Chase Thompson Jimmy Chase Thompson, age 68, Harrodsburg, husband of Carole Roland Thompson, died Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the V. A. Medical Ctr., Lexington, KY. Born September 26, 1938 in Pikeville, KY, he was the son of the late James L and Zella (Hackney) Thompson. He served in the Army and was a retired coal miner. Survivors in addition to his wife: Carole (Roland) Thompson, are; two daughters: Kimberly (Mike) Tackett of Pikeville, KY, Katie Elizabeth Thompson of Harrodsburg, KY and one son: James Richard Thompson and his wife Robin of Nicholasville, KY; two sisters: Phyllis Sue Mutter of Merritt Island, FL and Genetta Ann Looney of Vasant, VA; and one brother: Robert Dale Thompson of Okachobee, FL; four Grandchildren, Luke Richard Thompson, Sara Takett, Josh Takett and Jared Takett. Funeral services will be conducted 1 pm, Tuesday, February 6 at the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA, by Jack Mutter Visitation will bae 5-8 pm Monday, February 5 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel Memorial contributions may be sent to Mercer County 4-H Horse Club.
