Walter Wayne, Jr., age 79, Harrodsburg, widower of Dot Fowler and Fredia Conley, died Thursday, February 8, 2007 at his home in Harrodsburg, KY. Born March 30, 1927 in Mackville, KY, he was the son of the late Walter, Sr. and Virgie Lee Riley. He served during World War II in the Navy. He was a retired engineer and farmer. He was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church, Kentucky Colonel, Tennessee Squire, American Legion, V.F.W and the Thursday Morning Men’s Prayer Breakfast Club. Survivors include: two daughters: Myra (Jeff) McCrystal of Harrodsburg, KY and Vicky (David) Perkins of Lebanon, KY and one son: Ronnie (Janet) Wayne of Franklin, WI; Eight Grandchildren: Stacey Taylor, Shawn Perkins, Alyssa Gordon, Crissy Beets, Jeanne Knapp, Rachel Wayne, Bret McCrystal and Houston McCrystal and Eleven Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Monday, February 12 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Jim Smith from the St. Stephens Methodist Church in Amarillo, TX and burial will be in the Peter Cemetery, Mackville, KY. Pallbearers are: Joe Stevens, Bobby Springate, Bobby Thompson, Everett Lee Russell, Jim Thomas and Barry Sosnin. Honorary Bearers are the Members of The Thursday Morning Men's Prayer Breakfast Club. Visitation will be Sunday, February 11 from 3-7 pm and Monday prior to the Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to Gideon Bible Fund or the Thursday Morning Men’s Prayer Breakfast Group.
