Marian Jean Becknell, age 59, 611 Oregon Rd., Salvisa, wife of Phillip Wayne Becknell, died Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born August 26, 1947 in Lexington, KY, she was the daughter of Louise (Coy) Brown and the late Marion Roy Brown Sr.. She was a former accounting employee for K-Mart and was homemaker.
Survivors other than her husband and mother include: one daughter, Sherry (Scott) Dodson of Mercer Co., KY; two sons, Anthony (Shannon) Becknell and Chris (April) Becknell both of Mercer Co., KY; two sisters, Marie (Cleo) Cox of Frankfort, KY and Linda (Bill) Popp of Midway, KY; one brother, Logan (Betty) Brown of Lawrenceburg, KY; Grandchildren, Ty, Cody, Mandy, Jake, Bailey, & Justin. She was preceded in death by one brother, Marion Roy (Shorty) Brown Jr., and two sisters, JoAnne Walters and Janie Akins.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Monday, March 5 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Carl Jones. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa.
Pallbearers are Chad Becknell, Delmar Cox, Matt Cox, Dawson Cox Jr., Rick Davis, Wayne Whitaker.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 4 from 5:30PM-9:00PM and Monday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
