Obituary of Claudie Wilson Pinkston

Claudie Wilson Pinkston, age 85, 6454 Cardwell Road, Harrodsburg, husband wife of Velma Jewell Scott Pinkston, died Friday, March 9, 2007 at his home.
Born May 18, 1921 in Washington County, KY, he was the son of the late Charles C. and Lora Ethel (Ransdell) Pinkston. He was a Self Employed farmer & carpenter and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, church treasurer, and song leader for many years. He was also a Kentucky Colonel, a graduate of Mackville High School and attended the University of Kentucky.
Survivors include: his wife: Velma Jewell (Scott) Pinkston, two daughters: Brenda (Pete) Thompson of Richmond, KY, Jane (Roney) Bottom of Harrodsburg, KY and one son: Charles Scott (Paula) Pinkston of Willisburg, KY; eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren. Predeceased by a brother: Arlie Pinkston, and three sisters: Alma Pinkston, Wilma Catlett, Sarah Will Clark.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 13, 2007, at the Bethel Baptist Church by Lester Tirey and Jack Geurin with burial in the Bethel Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Chris Thompson, Gus Benson, Mike Reed, Rob Bolinger, Bryan Keene, Mark Bottom, Doug Bottom, Brian Devine.
Honorary bearers: Jimmy Sanders, Garnett Ransdell, Clyde Ransdell, William Pinkston, Adrian Thompson and fellow Deacons: Mark Gray, Curtis Sherrow, Todd Pinkston, Tommy Pinkston, David Huffman and Spencer Tatum.
Visitation will be Monday, March 12 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Gideon Bible Fund.
