Obituary of Dr. Robert "Bob" Goodman

Dr. Robert “Bob” Goodman, age 71, Harrodsburg, husband of Janet Elizabeth Ward Goodman, died Sunday, March 11, 2007 at the UK Medical Ctr., Lexington, KY. Born January 28, 1936 in Prestonsburg, KY, he was the son of the late Isaac and Opal (Parsley) Goodman. He was a retired dentist, receiving his Masters Degree in Dentistry from Seattle Washington after graduating from the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville Dental School. He also taught at the Versailles High School and part time at the University of Kentucky. Bob was very active in the community, being a member of the Anderson Dean Park Tree Board, Jaycee’s, Mercer Cattleman’s Association and Harrodsburg Rotary Club where he was a Past President. Survivors include: his wife: Janet Elizabeth (Ward) Goodman, a daughter: Jamie Spivey and a son: Robert “Robbie” Goodman Jr. all of Harrodsburg, KY; three brothers: Ronald Goodman of SC, Larry Goodman of Harrodsburg, KY, Rick Goodman of Nicholasville, KY; three Granddaughters, Carissa Horn, Chelsea Goodman and Hayley Spivey and a Grandson, Tate Spivey all Harrodsburg, KY; Two Great Grandchildren, Lane & Kora Horn of Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be Thursday, March 15 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions are to be sent to Woodlawn Children’s Home or Anderson Dean Park.
