Stanley H. Jenkins, age 72, Harrodsburg, husband of Joyce Alexander Jenkins, died Sunday, March 18, 2007 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY. Born July 28, 1934 in Mercer County, KY, he was the son of the late Guster B. and Cordie (Carr) Jenkins. He was a retired quality engineer from IBM Inc., and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. Stanley was a long time Deacon, Sunday School superintendent and teacher, Training Union Director and Moderator. Survivors include: his wife: Joyce (Alexander) Jenkins, two daughters: Beth (Steve) Sims of Harrodsburg and Franda Sanders of Georgetown, and a son: David (Phyllis) Jenkins of Columbus, OH; two sisters: Eva (Buford) Stine of Harrodsburg, KY and Dorothy (Oscar) Drury of Lexington, KY; and one brother: James (Helen) Jenkins of Lexington, KY; a Future Son-in-law: Jankie Jackson of Georgetown, KY; Eight Grandchildren, He was preceded in death by a daughter Cindy Jenkins, and a brother: Guster Jenkins Jr. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 21 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Harold Best and Greg Farmer. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Joe Wilson, Willie B. Horn, Eddie Sherrow, Donald Steele, Cary King, Donald Logue, Jim Sharp and Paul Vaught. Honorary Bearers are: Bud Jefferies, Bobby Miracle, Maurice Gritton, I.C. Phillips and all the Immanuel Baptist Deacons Visitation will be Tuesday, March 20 after 5:00 PM and Wednesday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to Gideon Bible Fund.
