Obituary of C. D. Ransdell, Jr.

C. D. Ransdell, Jr., age 86, Harrodsburg, husband of Adele Garriott Ransdell, died Saturday, March 24, 2007 at his home.
Born September 2, 1920 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Cecil D. and Lena (Bunton) Ransdell, Sr. He was a member of the Magnolia St. Christian Church, and a World War II Army/Air Corp. Veteran. He was also a member of Gideons International, the Thursday Morning Prayer Group and was a retired farmer.
Other survivors include: one daughter: Geri Bare of Louisville, and a son: C. David (Lois) Ransdell, III. of Harrodsburg; one brother: Earl F. (Louise) Ransdell of Harrodsburg, and four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great great grandson. He was predeceased by two sisters: Eva Mae Hahn, and Doris Burgin, and two brothers: A. L. and Herbert Ransdell.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 27 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Matthew Atha and John Kessel. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, with military rites.
Pallbearers are: Glenn Reynolds, James Davis Lawson, Todd Allen, Sterling Shannon, Van Anderson, Jack Coleman.
Honorary bearers will be members of the local Gideon Camp.
Visitation will be Monday, March 26 from after 4:00 PM and Tuesday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
