Nettie Mae Mayes, age 97, 4465 Mackville Road, Harrodsburg, widow of Clarence Everett Mayes, died Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born May 31, 1909 in Perryville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jake and Florence (Russell) Carpenter. She was a retired LPN at Haggin Hospital and a member of the Mackville Methodist Church.
Survivors include: two sons: David Mayes and Carlton (Nellie Jo) Mayes both of Harrodsburg, seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Predeceased by two sons: Marvin & Donald Mayes, and three sisters: Ethel Cannon, Chessie Peavler, and Beulah Peavler.
will be conducted 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 6 at the Spring Hill Cemetery by Johnny Hockersmith.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 6 after 12:00 Noon at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
