Dudley Moore Long, age 82, 988 Beaumont Ave, Harrodsburg, husband of Helen Coffman Long, died Sunday, May 13, 2007 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born July 2, 1924 in Washington County, KY, he was the son of the late Harve and Oma (Phillips) Long. He was an Army veteran of WWII, a retired Western KY Gas Co. technician, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his wife include: two daughters, Kay Long of Harrodsburg, KY and Marsha (Skip) Wilson of Mt. Vernon, KY; one sister, Genavie Reed of Harrodsburg, KY; one brother: Kenneth Long of Harrodsburg, KY; and 2 grandchildren, Megan Perkins and Mattie Wilson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris McCrystal.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 16 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Harley Humfleet with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are Garnett Royalty, Boo Royalty, Ronnie Baker, Willie B. Horn, Charlie Burton, Garnett Morris, and Mike Camic. Honorary bearers are Fred Purvis, Don Horn, Maurice Long, Donald Ross, and Wesley Phillips.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 15 from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM and Wednesday prior to Service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
