Sidney G. Hollar, age 68, 347 Talmage-Mayo Rd., Harrodsburg, died Friday, July 6, 2007 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born January 24, 1939 in Carlisle, KY, he was the son of the late Oral and Mary (Florence) Hollar. He was a Shakertown employee and a retired IBM Inc. tool & die maker and a member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Monnie Carolyn (Hurst) Hollar; one daughter, Monnie (Tim) Berger of Harrodsburg, KY; one son, Tony (Susan) Hollar of Columbus, OH; three sisters, Trienzi Horn of Carlisle, KY, Brenda Haunce of Orlando, FL, Teressa Sampson of Carlisle, KY; two brothers, Oral Hollar, Jr. of Versailles, KY, and Ralph Hollar of Corpus Christi, TX; 4 grandchildren, Chad Hollar, Caleb Berger, Samuel Berger, Dawn Thomas; five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 10 at the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church by Walter Arnold and Dr. David Ross. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are Rich Lane, Jeff Blankenship, Chad Hollar, Caleb Berger, Sammy Vice, Paul Shirley, Tony Shirley, & Mason Shirley. Honorary bearers are David Ross, Ralph Clark, John Moffett, Howard Nichols, Ken Klemme, Bobby Christiansen, Mac Cecil and Ethan Klemme. Visitation will be Monday, July 9 after 5:00 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY and Tuesday 9:00 am until time of service at Church. Memorial contributions may be sent to Harrodsburg United Methodist Church, 102 South Chiles Street, Harrodsburg, KY 40330
