Irene Lawson, age 81, 663 Bellows Mill Road, Harrodsburg, wife of Curtis Ray Lawson, died Sunday, July 15, 2007 at the UK Medical Center.
Born October 30, 1925 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Bessie (Moran) Wilson. She worked most of her life as a short order cook for several restaurants around the area.
Survivors in addition to her husband are: two daughters, Joyce Coleman of Harrodsburg, KY, and Carla Lawson of CO; a sister, Lorene Vaughn of Richmond, KY; two brothers, Ancil Wilson of Liberty, KY and Jesse Carlos Wilson of Lee County, KY; three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 PM, Thursday, July 19 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are Michael Coleman, Robert Coleman, Curtis Coleman, Donald Neal, & Michael Allen Coleman.
Visitation will be after 5 PM Wednesday, July 18 and prior to service Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
