Maurice Reed, age 78, Burgin, husband of Lena Harmon Reed, died Sunday, July 15, 2007 at the UK Medical Center., Lexington, KY.
Born August 5, 1928 in Mercer County, KY, he was the son of the late Joe and Lucy (Mobley) Reed. He was an Army veteran, a member of Ellers Memorial Baptist Church, and was retired from the Corning Glass Forming Department.
Survivors other than his wife include: a daughter, Debra (Donald) McMichael of Willisburg, KY; two sons, Larry D. Reed and Keith (Shirlene) Reed both of Harrodsburg, KY: seven grandchildren, three step grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 18 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Larry Reed and Floying Thompson Jr. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are Don McMichael, Kevin McMichael, April Reed, Kristen Reed, Heather Neighbors, Lynette Reed, Brian Neighbors and Dennis Thompson. Honorary Bearers are: Cornell Powell, Dale Powell, Johnny Tyler, Bobbi Tyler, Delena McMichael, Hobert Proctor. Jonathan Kays and Donnie McMichael and Stacy Caudill.
Visitation will be after 5 PM Tuesday, July 17, and prior to the service on Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
