Lula Mae Terhune James, age 87, Cane Run St., Harrodsburg, widow of Jesse L. James died Thursday, July 19, 2007 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born June 30, 1920 in Mercer County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth (Brown) Terhune. She was a retired operator for South Central Bell and a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church. Survivors include: one daughter: Rita (Jim) McGlone of Harrodsburg, KY and two sons: Terry (Elisa) James of Harrodsburg, KY and Connie Lee (Christine) James of E. Grand Rapids, MI; Four Grandchildren: Angela S. (Erich) Ruehs, Clay D. (Christie) McGlone, Morgan C. James and Taylor E. James, Two Step Grandchildren, Phillip (Bridgette) Gillespie and Michelle Gillespie and Four Great Grandchildren, Three Step Great Grandchildren . She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years: Jesse L. James and a brother; Hanley Terhune. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 21 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dann Masden and Gary Story. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Steve Blevins, Marvin Robinson, Clay McGlone, Erich Ruehs, Phillip Gillespie, Morgan James, Ricky Shewmaker and Bobby Royalty. Honorary Bearers are: Doc McKinney, Members of the Bethany Sunday School Class and Her Caregivers: Barbara Bradshaw, Jun Lester, Pat Lay and Ruth Gregory. Visitation will be Friday, July 20 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY and prior to the service on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be sent to Harrodsburg Christian Church Renovation Fund or Heritage Hospice.
