George Wayne Haddix, age 67, Paradise Camp Road, Harrodsburg, husband of Sharon Biliter Haddix, died Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.
Born November 13, 1939 in Lexington, KY, he was the son of the late George and Pearl (Cassity) Haddix. He served in the Marine Corps and was a retired postal worker from the US Post Office in Lexington and a member of Herrington Lake Yacht Club.
Survivors include: his wife: Sharon Biliter Haddix, a daughter: Tracy (John) Hoagland of Lexington, KY and two sons: Christopher Todd Haddix of Harrodsburg, KY and George Wayne (Cindy) Haddix II of St. Louis, MO; two sisters: Barbara Sallee and Carolyn Neal both of Harrodsburg, KY; and one brother: Roy Haddix also of Harrodsburg, KY; five Grandchildren, Lisa Haddix, Michael Haddix, Robert Haddix, Matthew Haddix and Cristalynn Bottoms. George was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth and Leland Haddix and a sister: Rita Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 pm , Friday, August 10 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel and Burial will be in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 9 after 5:00 PM and prior to the service on Friday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
